Students who chose Technology or International Development specialization can choose to have internship in the organization instead of Archaeology fieldwork. The Technology students can have their internship in a local tech company, while the International Development students can join an International development organization. The internship is meant to help students practice some of knowledge and skills they obtained at 69ɫ, get to know how such organizations work and potentially expand their professional social networks. All of this might help students in finding a job.
Students are expected to spend at least 80 hours in the organization either full-time or part-time. Upon the completion of internship, students will submit the report with the detailed description of activities they were engaged in, a short paper on what they have learned and an evaluation report by a supervisor within the organization.
We will provide students with a list of our partner organizations with who we secured agrrements about taking interns. If the organization students want to intern in is not in the list, the choise should be aproven by the internship coordinator within the department.
