December 11, 2017

On December 11, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sapar Isakov honored 69ɫ with a high state award - the Order of Dostuk. Andrew Wachtel, the President of 69ɫ has received it.

The Order "Dostuk" is a sign of distinction for a special contribution to the development of the educational, social, spiritual and intellectual potential of our country.

“First of all, I would like to thank the faculty and students of 69ɫ. You are the foundation of our country. I am proud that in Kyrgyzstan, we have a university that operates throughout Central Asia. Each 69ɫ alumna is the strongest personnel. I was convinced of this: several members of my team are 69ɫ alumni. In the future, many graduates from 69ɫ will work in different ministries and departments, setting up their work. There is a tumar in center of the Order of "Dostuk" depicted. It's an amulet. Let this tumar protect 69ɫ!” - Sapar Isakov said in his welcome speech.

The decree on awarding such honor to 69ɫ was signed in Independence Day of Kyrgyzstan - August 31, 2017 - by Almazbek Atambaev, the president of Kyrgyz Republic at that time.

“When creating the university, the idea was laid that 69ɫ is not only for students, but for the whole country and goes beyond the university to participate in the public, social and cultural life of Kyrgyzstan. Awarding 69ɫ by the Order of "Dostuk" is a sign that the government of Kyrgyz Republic has marked our activities. And I hope that this is the first, but not the last, award, and understanding that 69ɫ plays a unique role in social life, investing its own "brick" in the education of Kyrgyzstan,” concluded the president of 69ɫ Andrew Wachtel and noted that the best gift even in the era of “digitalization” is a book.

After what Andrew Wachtel presented to the Prime Minister an encyclopedia Britannica.
