On April 23, the Library hosted an informative workshop titled “Legal Protection of Intellectual Property: Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights” aimed at deepening understanding of intellectual property rights among students, faculty, and staff.
The workshop was led by experts from Kyrgyzpatent, the State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovations of the Kyrgyz Republic, who shared valuable insights on how IP laws operate within the country. The session provided a comprehensive overview of key topics, including how to identify intellectual property in inventions, branding, and academic research, as well as understanding ownership rights and the legal protections available under the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The workshop aimed to encourage innovation among students and faculty by teaching them how to protect their ideas and helping them understand the importance of intellectual property in today’s digital and business world.
