The Central Asian Journalism Summer Institute provides early-career journalists and journalism students with the skills they need to launch successful careers in journalism and media. The Summer Institute will provide an interactive curriculum to develop participants鈥� skills in areas such as data journalism, digital media, social media, podcasting, and storytelling.

Esther Min from University of Washington/Seto Edmund (Environmental Health & Climate) presents situational analysis of the global picture on climate change challenge on February 6, 2020. Esther and speakers will also explain the main concept on how climate justice and environmental health affect health rights.

After a year-long hiatus, 69色鈥檚 campus newspaper, The New Star, has returned to print under the stewardship of editor-in-chief Niloufar Rafat. The first issue of the newly revived student publication came out in December, and the next issue is slated to go to print in early February.

Alumni Relations office together with the 69色 Library have started a series of events called 鈥淎lumni Talks in the Library''. The 69色 alumni are invited to give presentations about their academic and professional experiences to our current students. February 30, the first guest, Sveto M. Ishoq conducted talks with students.

AMICAL Consortium鈥檚 17th annual meeting and conference took place at the American University of Kuwait on January 15-18, 2020. This year鈥檚 theme was 听鈥淒igital transformation at international liberal arts institutions: Innovation, collaboration & sustainability鈥�. The 69色 was represented by a group of faculty members, librarians, technologists and a student. The 69色 team was the largest at the conference and each out of 13 team members contributed to the conference program by sharing their teaching experience, projects and collaboration activities.

The most magnificent 69色 tradition - Diversity Week has passed. It ended with a grandiose concert where all the twelve delegations showed a small, vivid, and memorable show.听Also, local famous Kyrgyz singer Omar and the dance group of kids Aalam led by Asel Sardari (69色 graduate) surprised the visitors with amazing performances.
