About Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate of 69ɫ is established, and derives its authority, from the Charter of 69ɫ. Its function is to address all major academic policies, including curricular innovation, research, standards, promotion, financial strategy and student intellectual life.
The Faculty Senate:
The Faculty Senate has 16 members consisting of 14 elected members, one faculty representative from the Trade Union and one student representative. The term of office is for two years.
Standing Committees
The Senate establishes standing committees and has operational and oversight authority over such committees. The core principals of all Senate committees include: sound membership composition, international perspective, student-centered, effective communication, efficiency, integrity, and focused on policy.
