Roman Mamashev is an Assistant Professor at New Generation Academy at the American University of Central Asia. He holds a specialized degree in Linguistics from the Institute of Foreign Languages at the Kyrgyz State National University (2000, Kyrgyzstan). He completed the Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking project funded by the Soros Foundation Kyrgyzstan (2000-2001), an intensive course in English language and Introduction to American Studies course from Columbia University (2010, USA), and the course Building Teaching Skills through the Interactive Web (Web Skills) from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oregon (2015, USA).

Roman joined 69ɫ in 2002 as an Assistant Professor. From 2010 to 2012, he was the Acting Assistant Director of the 69ɫ Preparatory Program.
