A newly launched aims to provide 69色 students with support for both their academic and their professional writing. The project is an initiative of the (WARC), which also provides free peer tutoring services, and was executed jointly with Ekaterina Kombarova, 69色 Website Director.听
One of the aims of the project was to provide students with guidelines for the many different kinds of writing work they are likely to be asked to complete during their four years at 69色. Accordingly, the section includes instructions for research papers, literature reviews, annotated bibliographies, and other common assignment types.
In addition, as many students (particularly first years) struggle with how to organize an essay, the resources page also includes and what the job of each part is.
The section includes guidance tailored to every one of 69色鈥檚 majors. IBL students might visit the site for insights on how to craft a solid bench memo, while social science students can find guides to qualitative and quantitative research methods.
The site also includes a number of , part of a broader effort to raise awareness of academic integrity and discourage plagiarism at the university.
The section, meanwhile, offers help with everything from formatting your CV to writing a formal email.
鈥淭his has been a long time coming,鈥 says Mariya Antonova, director of the WARC. 鈥淲e鈥檙e delighted to see the university and specific programs taking writing seriously and elevating it to its proper place as the cornerstone of liberal arts education. Our hope is that this resource will facilitate this process and serve all members of the 69色 learning and teaching community.鈥
